ABC News
Head of the Weather, Climate & Science Unit
Space Exploration Reporter
I lead the ABC News Weather, Climate & Science Unit and coordinate all weather, climate and science editorial coverage across the network’s multiple shows and platforms, including Good Morning America, World News Tonight, ABC News Live and ABCNews.com. I also partner with the ABC Owned TV stations to enhance the company’s climate, weather and science reporting. Additionally, I serve as the network's space reporter, covering NASA and the space industry.
Everything I had done led to the creation of a revolutionary news network - NBCLX
It was a career-defining challenge: reinventing the traditional newscast to reach a younger, more diverse audience. Our answer was LX News (NBCLX), a national news network available to millions of households built around long-form, context-rich storytelling that delivered nuance and analysis often lost in shorter segments. By combining cinematic photography, character-driven reporting and techniques borrowed from other genres, we created a product that was both engaging and deeply informative. As Director of Storytelling and Managing Editor, I helped turn LX News from a concept into a national outlet. It was one of the proudest achievements of my career. Recognized with multiple national awards, LX proved there’s an alternative model for journalism that can earn attention from audiences traditional formats often miss.
